In June 2010 eight boats departed New York and sailed into St George's Harbour as part of the third annual Bermuda Cruising Rally where the participants were greeted by glorious sunshine. All rally boats were berthed at Ordnance Island in the town of St. George. Dressed overall with signal flags, the fleet gave the town a festive look.
Bermuda Yacht Services Ltd. hosted a fish BBQ on the dock at Ordnance Island for captains, crew and visiting friends and family. Burrows Lightbourn Ltd. kindly supplied beverages and many "partly cloudys" were consumed.
The Mayor of St. George, Kenneth Bascome, and his council members were present and the Town Crier opened the evening with a rousing welcome to the visiting yachties.
